The Unlocking of New Education

These two videos (A Vision of Students Today and A Vision of K-12 Students Today) really exemplify my feelings on how education operates in the US. In an entry titled Types of Intelligence and Challenge Approaches I mention that in the 1960s researchers found that children use four types of means to solve problems, but reject two of them in adolescents due to simplification. Well maybe, as these videos illustrate, that isn't true. Maybe these methods just hibernate and the internet collaboration revolution is their spring. You decide.
